Team

Mariya Sharif spent almost 10 years in Copenhagen building her career at award-winning design firm, Space Copenhagen. In 2018, she relocated to the US with her husband and two boys where she launched RAWI in 2020 - a culmination of her international experiences and honed architectural skills.

She holds a Masters of Int. Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design and a Bachelors of Engineering from McGill University.

Her design ethos derives from her international upbringing and travels and an immersive study of Scandinavian design principles from her years living and working in Copenhagen and other cities in Europe.

Her approach strips spaces, objects, and ideas to their essential forms where materials are tactile and embed the imprint of being used beautifully. Space exudes comfort and natural light abounds. A refined approach that makes life feel effortless, and ultimately generates a feeling of well-being through thoughtful well-crafted design.
