The proposal reinterprets the existing conditions to reveal opportunities to create a more expansive living within the envelope of the existing home while creating a series of meaningful connections between inside and out and an articulated solution to the home’s landscaping.

A considered approach sees the old meld effortlessly into the new with shared materiality and a matched approach to proportion and scale. Ensuring the home felt timeless was imperative to its continued relevance, and to allow the residence to age gracefully over time.
